Learning outcomes

This unit has been designed to guide students in the creation of animations for use on the internet for assignment purposes. Teachers may need to supplement this unit with additional worksheets and resources to meet the exact needs of their specific exam syllabus.

By completing this unit candidates will develop a knowledge and understanding of how to design, produce and test a short animation that is fit for purpose. They will:

The scenario for the practice model assignment sets a realistic brief to contextualise a series of tasks that are explained in a mini brief at the end of each section. The tasks are for formative assessment and enable the student to apply new skills and understanding more independently than in the guided activities.

Each section concludes with a skills check to help students measure progress and identify areas for further development.
