factfile1.9 Website logos

A logo may be small, but it is very powerful. A logo is a very important part of an organization’s image and branding. For well-known brands the logo can be recognizable even if only part of it is displayed. Most web pages will display the logo in a prominent position, usually at the top of the page. Colours from the logo may often be incorporated into the colour scheme or house style for the site.

Logos may be made up of text only like Google, a symbol only like Apple, or a combination of text and graphics like Adidas. On the majority of websites this logo has a hyperlink attached that takes the visitor back to the main homepage of the site.
