activity2.2 Writing a proposal

Start your planning by making a note of the first ideas that come into your head around the type of video you have chosen to make for your assignment. You may want to brainstorm with a partner who has chosen the same category. You could also use a spider chart or mind map to gather ideas, or you could create a mood board to illustrate the concept behind the video using stills, screenshots, colours, magazine or newspaper pictures and headlines.

Writing a proposal to outline key elements of the movie will also help you focus on what you need to do.

Try to answer the five 'Ws' about your video: who, where, when, what and why? What is the purpose and audience for your movie? How will you take this into account when designing the video? Save the file as evidence.
